Stream from Xbox

Multistream from your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One using its built-in broadcasting: one broadcast reaches YouTube, Kick, Twitch and any other platform you turn on. See how console streaming works for the idea behind it.

Open console setup in Studio and:

  1. Log in to BEAM, or create an account.
  2. Link your Twitch channel. Use the same Twitch account you will link on your Xbox.
  3. Optionally, turn on the other platforms you want to stream to.

If you have already done this, carry on with the Xbox steps below.

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

  2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

  3. Select Advanced settings.

  4. Select DNS settings.

  5. Select Manual.

  6. Enter the primary and secondary DNS:

    Primary DNS208.73.20.147
    Secondary DNS1.1.1.1
  7. Press B to exit the menu.

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Select Capture and Share > Live streaming.
  3. Link your Twitch account: scan the QR code with a phone, or open the URL on your PC or phone.

Restart so the new DNS takes effect.

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.
  3. Select Restart now.

Set your stream title and category in Studio first; you can change them there at any time.

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Select Capture and Share > Live streaming.
  3. Select Go live now.

Your stream should show up on BEAM within about 10 seconds of going live. If it has not appeared after 30 seconds, see Troubleshooting.

  • If your Xbox says “Your live stream stopped working. Try restarting it”, check that the Twitch account linked to BEAM in console setup in Studio is the same one linked on your Xbox.
  • If your stream appears on your Twitch channel but not on BEAM, restart your Xbox so the DNS settings take effect.
