Stream from PlayStation

Multistream from your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 using its built-in broadcasting: one broadcast reaches YouTube, Kick, Twitch and any other platform you turn on. See how console streaming works for the idea behind it.

Open console setup in Studio and:

  1. Log in to BEAM, or create an account.
  2. Link your Twitch channel. Use the same Twitch account you will link on your PlayStation.
  3. Optionally, turn on the other platforms you want to stream to.

If you have already done this, carry on with the PlayStation steps below.

  1. Select Settings in the top-right corner of the home screen.

  2. Go to Network > Settings > Set Up Internet Connection.

  3. Select the network you are using (it is marked Connected), press the Options button and choose Advanced settings.

  4. Select DNS Settings and set it to Manual.

  5. Enter the Primary and Secondary DNS:

    Primary DNS208.73.20.147
    Secondary DNS1.1.1.1
  6. Select OK to exit the menu.

  1. Select Settings in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  2. Select Users and Accounts > Linked Services.
  3. If Twitch is not showing as Linked, link your Twitch account: scan the QR code with a phone, or open the URL on your PC or phone.

Restart so the new DNS takes effect.

  1. Press the PS button to open the Control Center.
  2. Select Power and press ✕ to bring up the options.
  3. Select Restart PS5.

Set your stream title and category in Studio first; you can change them there at any time.

  1. Press the Create button on your controller to open the share options.
  2. Select Broadcast.
  3. Select Twitch, adjust the settings if you like, then press Start Broadcasting.

Your stream should show up on BEAM within about 10 seconds of going live. If it has not appeared after 30 seconds, see Troubleshooting.

If your stream appears on your Twitch channel but not on BEAM, restart your PlayStation so the DNS settings take effect.
