Stream from a console
You can go live on BEAM straight from your console, using the broadcasting feature it already has. No PC is needed. BEAM takes your stream and sends it on to every platform you have turned on, so one broadcast from the couch reaches all of them.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”You go live with your console’s built-in Twitch broadcasting. You change one network setting on it, its DNS, so that when it goes live to Twitch the stream comes to BEAM instead. BEAM recognises it by your Twitch account, puts it live on your BEAM channel, and sends it on to your destinations.
That is why the Twitch account matters: the one you link in BEAM has to be the same one you link on the console.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- A BEAM account.
- A Twitch account, linked to BEAM in console setup in Studio and linked on your console.
- Access to your console’s network settings, to change the DNS.
Every other platform is optional. Turn on as many as you like in Studio; see supported platforms for the full list.
